I am a multimedia journalist and freelance writer in the Kansas City area. My work has been published in The Kansas City Star, USA Today, U.S. News & World Report and The Texas Tribune in areas that include health and science.
I shoot and edit video and photography to create compelling stories across multiple platforms. One of my main passions is telling stories through images.
I am a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications with an emphasis in magazine writing and news reporting.
In 2010, I traveled to Sicily to discover my roots and learn Italian. A three-month stay turned into a three-year stay. In Palermo, I taught English and freelanced for the National Italian American Foundation's Ambassador Magazine and Frommer's travel guides.
When I'm not searching for compelling stories, I'm planning my next adventure.
